Important event #2

Women's rights has been a lightning rod for any policaly party to bring into the public form. Some say that it is impossible to treat women and men the same. Others just want women to be payed the same as men for equal work and that idea is now picking up steam again in the halls of the U.S Capitol building, spacificly in the senate. The head democrats are trying to gather support of the Paycheck Fairness Act to gbring it to the senate floor for a vote. They say if it passes, women will be able to claim more money for equal work of men without much of the red tape that exist today. Republicans say that it allows for too much government interference into the payrolls of private sector companies. So they plan on making sure it does not get to the floor for a vote. I think the democrats are on the the winning side of this very important issue. Even in 2012, women still on average get payed less than men for the same amount of work. This problem needs to be fixed and it's obvious that the laws already in place aren't working. Republicans need to stop worrying about the people who fund their campaigns and focus more the people who actually vote them into office.
